Indigenous Procurement
SSD has extensive knowledge and experience in negotiating and successfully implementing projects where Indigenous participation is a key project requirement. We have assisted governments, contractors and Indigenous clients on setting up Indigenous procurement policy. Our goal is for policies meant to advance Indigenous participation: Exceed owner expectations, are profitable and create a legacy of benefits for all involved.
Contract Negotiations
For Indigenous groups (including entrepreneurs) and non-Indigenous industry partners, Salish Sage Developers can greatly enhance project participation through it’s contract negotiation expertise. SSD has negotiated direct awards, Indigenous set-asides, limited bids, lump sum contracts, add-ons, significant change orders, and multiple forms of exemptions, i.e., bonding and insurance, deposits, fill disposal, reporting, project experience, etc. We believe SSD is the partner you need on your side of the negotiation table before, during and after contract negotiations.
Project Management
Everyone who works for Salish Sage Developers is a project manager with years of experience. We provide pre-project negotiation, direct project management, project administration and reporting, as well as supplier management, liaison, promotion, community consultation, and the entire gambit of project oversight and management.
Indigenous Liaison Services
SSD Management has worked with First Nation communities across the Province and into the Yukon and Alberta. We have strong contacts with Indigenous Services Canada and the BC Ministry of Indigenous Relations and Reconciliation. We have worked with many other Federal Departments and Provincial Ministries, as well as regulatory bodies and other government agencies. We work with all partners and owners to ensure that Indigenous participation is maximized, aboriginal rights and title and consultation rights are protected, and reputation is enhanced.
